Prototyping in TinkerCAD
The ask: To design a piece of jewelry that represents my values, mission, personality, and/or personal brand in TinkerCAD.
The process: When brainstorming ideas for my jewelry prototype, the first thing that came to mind were the numbers 222. Angel numbers are a sequence of 3 numbers, often appearing repeatedly within one’s life. The angel numbers 222 represent alignment, signifying that the person who sees the numbers is in the right place at the right time. The number 222 is very important to me, as it appears in my life on almost a daily basis, often when I am going through a hard time. I have 222 tattooed on my right arm as a daily reminder to myself that I am right where I need to be. I knew that incorporating my angel numbers into my jewelry design would be very important.
Lo-fi Protoyping
Brainstorming and sketching: I narrowed down the ideas I had by sketching each one on my iPad. I knew that I wanted to incorporate 222, but I wasn’t sure exactly how. I toyed around with different pieces of jewelry including a ring, earrings, and a necklace. I ended up choosing the ring sketch to prototype in TinkerCAD as it contained a Ruby inspired 222 engraved gemstone, sentimental to both my angel numbers and my birth month.
